Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Karate Kid (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dixie Normous (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kid comes into the arena with Kung Fu Fighting blaring out of the sound system. On his way into the cage it seems that Karate Kid has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Karate Kid seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Summer Carpenter and Francis DeMontford.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kid throws a good cross that connects.
Karate Kid seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Normous on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
Normous throws a low kick but Kid avoids it.
Kid lands with a nice body punch.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Normous has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Kid here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.
Normous stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Kid.

Normous is trying desperately to land a takedown but Kid is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Normous.
