The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, Daniel Franklin and Sandra Marshall.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thiago jabs Smith to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Smith is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Thiago.
It looks like Austin Smith has been cut.
Nice body kick from Thiago.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Nice shot lands for Thiago.
Thiago scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Smith doesn't seem bothered though.
Smith stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Thiago.
Crunch! Thiago slams his shin into Smith's torso.
Smith looks winded!
Smith shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Thiago fakes the leg kick and cracks Smith in the body.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Thiago.
Thiago feints a kick and comes over the top with a right hand, followed by a left hook - both land, sending Smith crashing to the mat! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Jorge Thiago!
Austin Smith was interviewed post fight and said 'I'll go train some more and hopefully one day get a rematch'.
