Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Emilio Todd (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Masahiro Kimura (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kimura scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.

Kimura is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Kimura thows a huge punch but Todd dodges it nicely.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kimura wants to take a breather but Todd is having none of it.
Todd is trying to stand.
Kimura has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Kimura passes to side control.

Kimura thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Kimura is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Todd is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Todd might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Kimura trying to control the action but Todd is working from the bottom.
Todd is trying to improve his position.

Kimura stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Kimura avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Todd tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Kimura counters with a three punch combo that has Todd backing up. Todd nods at Kimura to acknowledge the strikes.

Kimura closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Kimura lands in his opponent's guard.
Todd really is a fat lump.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kimura forces his way into half guard.
Todd is looking to get back to is feet but Kimura passes into side control.

Kimura is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Todd looks calm but he's in trouble here. Kimura gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Todd is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Kimura lets go of the hold and Todd can pop his arm back in it's socket.
