Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, AJ Heid!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, George Francis and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Heid closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Lopez to the mat! Lopez manages to get full guard.
Heid trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Heid forces his way into half guard.
Heid looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Heid is pressing down on Lopez's thigh, looking to free his foot. Lopez is holding on for now.
Heid is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Lopez has managed to free his arm - good work.
Heid is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Lopez defends it well.

Lopez is trying to stand.
Heid frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Heid has control of Lopez's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Lopez regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Heid looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Heid seems to be looking to move to his opponent's back but Lopez is holding on tight.

Heid with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Heid wants to take Lopez's back here but Lopez is holding on to an arm, himself looking to escape.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
AJ Heid dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Lopez doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Heid counters with a nice double leg into side control. Lopez won't be happy with that.
Heid tries for a kimura but Lopez is defending well.
Heid tries to move into full mount but can't pass Lopez's legs.
Heid is working to tighten is grip on Lopez's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Lopez has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Heid is really squeezing tight and eventually Lopez passes out! Heid breaks the hold and jumps onto the ropes to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
