Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Frederick Finklestein (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dan iel Russo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Frederick Finklestein! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dan iel Russo! The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Tiny Johnson and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Finklestein throws a right and a left that Russo avoids nicely. Russo bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Russo lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. Finklestein tries to strike from the bottom but misses. Russo wants to lay and pray for a moment but Finklestein keeps working. Finklestein is looking for a sweep. Finklestein sneaks back into half guard. Finklestein regains full guard. Nicely done. Russo wants to pass the guard but Finklestein is keeping the position. Russo stopping the sweep attempt from Finklestein. Finklestein trying to keep a closed guard but Russo is proving a slippery customer.

That's one minute gone in the round. Finklestein looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Finklestein had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Russo is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Finklestein Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Russo's back instead. Finklestein missing with strikes. Finklestein thows a huge left but connects with the canvas and not his opponent. Finklestein lands strikes to the head. That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Finklestein has his opponent's back and is working for the choke. Russo is trying to get back to his feet but Finklestein has full control of the position and if anything, Russo has just worked his way into a worse spot. Russo covering up well under a series of strikes from Finklestein. Russo holding both Finklestein 's hands and preventing any damage. Even with his hooks in, Finklestein manages to miss with strikes from the back. Finklestein missing with strikes. Finklestein is trying to stick to Russo's back but Russo is turning into Finklestein. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Finklestein's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Russo. Finklestein throwing strikes off his back to little effect.

A close round but Dan iel Russo will probably get the nod. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Russo takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Russo. Finklestein rushes Russo and presses him up against the ropes. Finklestein misses with an elbow strike.

Finklestein with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Russo wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Finklestein has him pressed against the ropes. Finklestein using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Russo has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

Russo turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! Russo content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though. Finklestein struggling a bit here. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Russo tries to stand but Finklestein is controlling his head. Russo really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Finklestein. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
That's one minute gone in the round. Finklestein is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Russo's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Finklestein has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Russo is working away from the top position though. Russo wants to pass the guard but Finklestein is defending well. Finklestein gets back to full guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Finklestein wants to control from the top but Russo keeps moving. Russo working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Finklestein. Russo keeping full guard, as Finklestein tries to pass. Finklestein throwing strikes from guard but Russo blocks nicely. Finklestein stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Russo swivels though and keeps the full guard. Finklestein postures up in Russo's guard and throws a big left but Russo blocks it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Frederick Finklestein will probably get the nod. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!

Finklestein tries to clinch up. Russo throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Finklestein's waist but Finklestein gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Russo off to one side. Finklestein drives through with a takedown into guard. Finklestein lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Finklestein is stalling in the full guard. Finklestein works a leg free and moves into half guard. Russo is trying to stand up here but Finklestein is controlling him well. Finklestein stalling. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Finklestein moves into full mount! Russo won't be happy about that!
That's one minute gone in the round. Russo takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Finklestein scoring with strikes but Russo is staying in there. Russo wants to try and get back to his feet. Finklestein is landing with some decent strikes but Russo is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Finklestein lands a big shot there that rocks Russo but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Finklestein lands a heavy elbow. Finklestein scoring with strikes but Russo is staying in there. Finklestein trying to control but Russo is having none of it. Finklestein goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Russo is on top in guard.

Finklestein looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Finklestein moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Finklestein is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
It's got to the stage where if one of these guys blows hard enough, the other might fall over. Russo wants to control from the top but Finklestein keeps moving.
That's one minute gone in the round. Finklestein preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Finklestein has Russo pulled in close to control his posture. Russo postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Finklestein looking for a sweep. Not yet Finklestein, not yet. Finklestein throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Russo fails with a takedown attempt. Finklestein shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Finklestein showed some decent athleticism there.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Russo on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Finklestein is working for a kimura but Russo is defending it quite comfortably.
Russo is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Finklestein scores with a couple of nice shots. Russo is trying to stand up here but Finklestein is controlling him well. Finklestein wants to lay and pray for a moment but Russo keeps working. Finklestein slips a nice elbow through Russo's hands, connecting with Russo's forehead. Frederick Finklestein had his way with Dan iel Russo in that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!
Russo walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Finklestein fails in his attempt to clinch. Finklestein throws a leg kick and Russo counters with a two punch combo. Finklestein wants to clinch and Russo counters with a three punch combo that has Finklestein backing up. Finklestein nods at Russo to acknowledge the strikes. Finklestein is looking to take this fight into the clinch. The fighters circling - Finklestein throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Russo throws a right hand that Finklestein ducks under and follows up with a left that Finklestein also avoids with ease. Finklestein tries to close the distance and clinch but Russo swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Finklestein tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Russo counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Finklestein is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Russo pulls his head out easily. Finklestein missing with punches from the bottom.
Both of our modern day gladiators look out of it here - an gruelling 5 rounds of action taking it's toll on them, no doubt.
That's one minute gone in the round. Finklestein wants to get back to full guard. Finklestein is working hard here to advance position. Finklestein has a hand on Russo's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Russo takes advantage of the position though and mounts him! The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Russo unloads with some shots from mount but Finklestein bucks and avoids them well.
Finklestein is looking to improve his position but Russo isn't that keen on the idea. Russo throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Finklestein regains half guard. Finklestein trying to control here.
Finklestein is pressing down on Russo's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Finklestein escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Russo gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Dan iel Russo has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Finklestein bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Russo's guard. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Finklestein trying to control the position from guard on top but Russo is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Finklestein pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Russo is keeping the position for now.
And that's the end of the fight! Dan iel Russo comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Finklestein has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
