Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Edwardo Donaldson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Remy Bonjasky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Edwardo Donaldson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Remy Bonjasky!
The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Roosa Järviläinen and Arvi Lind.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bonjasky wants to clinch
and Donaldson counters with a thumping low kick.
Bonjasky takes a jab right on the kisser.
Donaldson misses with a kick to the body.

Donaldson rushes Bonjasky and presses him up against the cage.

Bonjasky is trying to trip Donaldson. He has hold of a leg but Donaldson is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Bonjasky persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Bonjasky is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Donaldson is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Donaldson has escaped and now he's on top!

Bonjasky has control of Donaldson's left arm, preventing Donaldson from doing any damage.

Remy Bonjasky has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.

Donaldson has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Bonjasky uses from the top position.

Bonjasky drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Donaldson manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Bonjasky has Donaldson in his guard.
Donaldson might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Donaldson could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Bonjasky might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Donaldson haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Remy Bonjasky.

Bonjasky has managed to clinch.

Donaldson turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Donaldson manages to end up in side control.

Donaldson takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Bonjasky shoots in for a double leg but Donaldson sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Donaldson stuffs the takedown attempt from Bonjasky. Bonjasky gets slowly back to his feet.

Bonjasky closes the distance and pushes Donaldson back into the cage.

Donaldson breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Bonjasky shoots for a double leg takedown but Donaldson sprawls well. He's pushed Bonjasky's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
