Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Bjorn Sonnen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yoshizo Mahida (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A jab lands there for Sonnen.
It looks like Yoshizo Mahida has been cut.
Sonnen throws a right and a left that both miss.
Mahida stuffs the takedown.
Sonnen lands a body shot.
Sonnen throws a shot from downtown. Mahida moves away and avoids it.

Mahida fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Sonnen.

No joy there for Mahida, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Sonnen lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

That was a close second round but I would say that Bjorn Sonnen will probably get the nod.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Sonnen is defended easily by Mahida.

Mahida takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Sonnen decides to return to a standing position.
Mahida takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Sonnen throws out a token jab with nothing on it.

Sonnen changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Mahida tries to avoid it but Sonnen manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Mahida to the ground. Mahida escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Sonnen lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.

That kick from Mahida tenderised Sonnen's leg. Sonnen is trying to keep his angry face on.
Sonnen moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Sonnen throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Mahida.
The fight stays on the outside here - Mahida looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

I would just about give that final round to Yoshizo Mahida.
