Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Sean Gilas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rene Ayson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Sean Gilas! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Rene Ayson! The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Tarja Halkonen and Roosa Järviläinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ayson forces Gilas back against the cage and clinches. Gilas gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. Gilas trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Gilas wants to control from the top but Ayson keeps moving. Ayson has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Gilas can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Gilas trying to control but Ayson is working from the bottom. Gilas won't allow Ayson to get back to his feet. Ayson controlling the position. Gilas stands up over Ayson, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Gilas trying to control the position from guard on top but Ayson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gilas is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Ayson is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Ayson has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Sean Gilas has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Ayson throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Ayson throws a low kick but it's checked well by Gilas. Ayson misses with a takedown and Gilas makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Rene Ayson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Ayson throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Gilas's waist but Gilas gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Ayson off to one side. Ayson fails with an attempt to clinch.
Gilas throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ayson with a lazy takedown attempt and Gilas counters with a nice body shot. Sean Gilas has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rene Ayson. Gilas ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Ayson misses with a takedown attempt - Gilas sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Gilas missing with a left hand there. Ayson was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Ayson moves in looking to clinch but Gilas pushes him off. Sloppy strikes from Ayson. Those never looked like landing. Ayson uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Gilas. Ayson tries to clinch but Gilas is having none of it. Gilas throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Gilas throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Ayson stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Ayson tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Gilas paws at him with a jab and circles away. Ayson fails with the takedown and Gilas counters with a left to the body.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gilas scores with a jab to the body. Good exchange - Gilas coming out on top. Ayson misses with a wild combination.
Gilas throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Gilas ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Ayson moves away. Gilas tests Ayson's chin there with a solid looking shot. Ayson shoots and misses and Gilas counters with a nice double leg into side control. Ayson won't be happy with that. Gilas working the ground and pound. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Ayson can't do much from the bottom here. Ayson tries to improve position but can't.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ayson takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Ayson can do anything to dispel that myth. Gilas scoring with punches from side control. Gilas looking to control but instead Ayson has slipped a leg in, to regain half guard. Ayson is staying active underneath Gilas, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Ayson trying to control here.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Nice strikes from Gilas there. Ayson has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Gilas is working away from the top position though. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ayson tries to clinch up. Gilas catches Ayson with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Gilas connects with a jab. Ayson looks to land a body kick but Gilas moved away. Gilas steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Ayson. Gilas shoots in for a double leg but Ayson sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Ayson slips a jab from Gilas. Gilas throws an overhand right that lands on Ayson's shoulder, as Ayson tries to avoid the shot. Ayson tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Gilas is able to avoid easily. Gilas swings for the body but Ayson moves out of range.
Gilas fails in his attempt to clinch. Ayson throws a nice looking combination but Gilas bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ayson moves away from the strike by Gilas. Ayson takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Gilas shoots in and bounces Ayson off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Ayson is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Ayson keeping full guard, as Gilas tries to pass. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Ayson is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Sean Gilas overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Gilas distracts Ayson with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ayson avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Ayson pulls Gilas in to control the position. Gilas passes easily into side control. Nice work. Ayson can't do much from the bottom here. Gilas lands a decent elbow from side control. This has been an exciting period of action! Ayson is looking to reverse the position. Ayson is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Gilas asserts his dominance and retains side control. Ayson is trying to get back to half guard. Ayson is pushing Gilas's head away, looking to escape. Gilas manages to hold on to the position though.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gilas cracks Ayson with a big right hand but Ayson just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

That's one minute gone in the round. Gilas tries to move into full mount but can't pass Ayson's legs. Ayson wants to get back to his feet but Gilas is dominant here and he's now got Ayson's back! Gilas lands with a nice looking elbow that stuns Ayson.

Gilas gets his hooks in and is throwing strikes. Gilas trying to control momentarily.
Ayson trying to control but he's just got himself in more trouble. Gilas lands a punch that was close to the back of the head but the ref thinks it's OK.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ayson wants to control his opponent's hands but Gilas gets his hands free. Gilas scores with punches to the body. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Gilas scores with strikes from the back.
Ayson is rocked! A helpless look comes across Ayson 's face. He knows he's trapped as Gilas lands a series of unanswered strikes. The ref steps in to stop the fight and this one is in the books!
