Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Vladimir Naymov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
15 - 16 - 1, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jon Erik Andersen!
The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Illya Tyunina and Konstantin Menshow.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A good leg kick by Andersen.
Andersen moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Naymov has his takedown stuffed
and Andersen counters with a stiff right hand.
Naymov with a poor takedown
and Andersen makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Naymov takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Naymov stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Andersen.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Andersen connects with a jab.
Naymov gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Andersen counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Andersen.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Vladimir Naymov. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Andersen utilising his Muay Thai to score with a knee to the body.

Naymov is breathing heavily.
Andersen escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Naymov shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Naymov is rocked!
Andersen circles away from the clinch attempt.
Oh Naymov is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Naymov tries for a takedown but Andersen circles away easily
and Andersen cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Andersen works Naymov's body with a nice hook.
Andersen circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Naymov to the canvas! Naymov doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Andersen keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jon Erik Andersen!
