Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Rogers Nelson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Khalil Zidane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nelson comes into the arena with Never Let It Die blaring out of the sound system. Zidane comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Tool - Jimmy kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Anni Minnemäki and Ben Zyskovitsi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zidane keeps Nelson at a distance using the push kick.
Nelson misses with a straight left.
Nelson takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Nelson throws a body punch but Zidane moves out of range.
Nelson swings away with a body shot that misses
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Khalil Zidane seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Nelson fails to land with a series of punches.
Nelson swings for the body but Zidane moves out of range.
Nelson throws a right and a left that both miss.
Zidane lands a leg kick that knocks Nelson off balance momentarily.
Zidane's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Zidane duly obliges.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Zidane displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Nelson throws out the jab.
We've been told by Nelson's head coaches at Nordic Top Team that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Nelson has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Zidane blocks a jab.
Nelson misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Nelson fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Nelson is breathing heavily.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Zidane.
Nelson misses with a looping right.
Nelson tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Zidane ducks under a wild hook from Nelson.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!

Nelson swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
That kick from Zidane tenderised Nelson's leg. Nelson is trying to keep his angry face on.
No joy there for Zidane, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Zidane feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Nelsons jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Zidane feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Nelson's calf.
Zidane scores with a jab to the head.
Zidane is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
A combination from Nelson does no damage.
Zidane scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Nelson doesn't seem bothered though.

Zidane moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Zidane fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.

Zidane bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Nelson misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Zidane.
Nelson throws a series of punches but Zidane avoids them all with ease.
Zidane throws a nice outside leg kick.
Zidane throws a front kick that sends Nelson stumbling back into the cage.

Nelson is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.
Zidane lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Zidane.
Nelson is rocked!
Zidane throws a monster overhand right that drops Nelson! Zidane follows up with more strikes from mount and the fight is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:41 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Khalil Zidane!
In his post fight interview, Khalil Zidane started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
