The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Mamoru tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Sweet smiles and moves away.

Mamoru moves into the clinch.
Sweet prevents a takedown attempt there.

Mamoru lands a right hand that snaps the head of Sweet backwards.

Mamoru lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Sweet wants to break the clinch but can't.
Sweet has Mamoru pressed against the cage, preventing Mamoru from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Mamoru lands a right hand.
Mamoru digs a right hand underneath Sweet's ribcage. Sweet let out a lung full of air as it connected.

Sweet manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Mamoru wants to control from the top but Sweet keeps moving.
