Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rob Dennison (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Verrueckte Mungo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Verrueckte Mungo will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mungo shoots in for a takedown but Dennison shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Mungo has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Dennison is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Mungo keeps the fight on the outside.
Dennison throws a right hand that misses

so Mungo counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Dennison is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Mungo wants to control from the top but Dennison keeps moving.
Dennison is pulling down on Mungo's head to control his posture.
Mungo trying to control the position from guard on top but Dennison is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Verrueckte Mungo wasn't active enough on the ground.

Mungo drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Mungo goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Dennison rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Mungo's guard! Nice work there by Dennison!

Mungo escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Dennison gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Dennison wants to control from the top but Mungo keeps moving.

Mungo utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Mungo keeping moving, preventing Dennison from controlling successfully.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Rob Dennison.
Dennison stuffs the takedown.
Mungo closes this distance looking for a takedown but Dennison circles away.
Rob Dennison has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Verrueckte Mungo.

Dennison bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Mungo on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Dennison is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Dennison is trying to control. Mungo wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Mungo is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Mungo has hold of Dennison's hands but Dennison slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Dennison in particular looking to stall.

Dennison lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Mungo is looking to control Dennison's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Mungo avoid being mounted?

Mungo has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Dennison is working away from the top position though.
Dennison seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Dennison working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Dennison scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
Dennison uses his free foot to push down on Mungo's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Mungo.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Dennison cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Mungo takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Dennison lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Mungo tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Dennison takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Dennison cracks Mungo with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Dennison prevents Mungo from getting the reversal.
Dennison breaks from Mungo's wrist control and lands an elbow.

Mungo is rocked!
Dennison unloads with some vicious shots from mount and Mungo wants out - he looks towards the referee who steps in to save him! Dennison celebrates on the cage and the crowd goes wild!
