Ship trying to stand up but can't free himself from Hess's guard.

Hess looking for a guillotine here but Ship defends easily.
Ship wants to pass the guard but Hess is keeping the position.

Ship thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Ship is looking to stand up but Hess won't let him.
Hess can't keep his opponent in guard - Ship advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Ship stalling.

Ship is trying to work for a kimura but Hess is defending well.
Ship is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Hess might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
