Al Shaq comes to the cage accompanied by Bow Down - 2pac ft. Ice Cube. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Al Shaq keeps the fight on the outside.
Alvarez tries to close the distance and clinch up but Al Shaq swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Alvarez shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Al Shaq manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Darwingh Alvarez wasn't active enough on the ground.

Alvarez closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Al Shaq is desperately trying to improve his position but Alvarez has a good base and remains in mount.

Alvarez is working for the choke. I would put my money on him to finish from this position. He's rolled onto his back and has dragged Al Shaq with him. Al Shaq is trying to defend but Alvarez has an arm under the chin now! Al Shaq grimaces and is forced to tap out!
