These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jack Marshall!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Joao Sanchez!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, William Peck and Dillan Fox.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Marshall throws an off balance right hand
and Sanchez connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Marshall plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!

Sanchez drops his shoulder and cracks Marshall with a huge uppercut! Marshall goes down! Can Sanchez finish him?


Marshall is rocked!


It looks like Jack Marshall has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Sanchez passes Marshall's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Sanchez is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
Marshall is looking to get to half guard.

Sanchez wants to finish this one by submission but Marshall is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Sanchez.
Marshall tries to reverse the position but Sanchez maintains control.
Sanchez throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Sanchez prevents Marshall from getting the reversal.
Sanchez can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Marshall is looking to escape.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Sanchez has isolated one of Marshall's arms. Marshall looking to fight him off but Sanchez twists into an armbar. It's tight... Will he tap?? YES, he's tapped! This one is all over!
