The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Furlong keeps the fight on the outside.
Furlong avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Thompson displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Furlong throws out the jab.
Thompson tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Thompson wants to clinch up but Furlong keeps it at a distance.
Thompson moves away from the strike by Furlong.
Cary Thompson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Thompson throws a jab but it's blocked by Furlong.
Furlong throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Thompson moves out of range of the body kick.
Thompson tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Thompson wants to clinch up but Furlong keeps it at a distance.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Furlong drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Furlong as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Thompson screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Furlong! Nice submission victory there!
