Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Six Shooter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Boone Straud (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Shooter comes to the cage accompanied by DJ Antoine - Ma Cherie. Straud has chosen 140 ounsers! as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
21 - 12 - 0, fighting out of New York, Six Shooter! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Boone Straud! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, George Francis and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Shooter misses with a straight right. Shooter uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Straud. Shooter has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Straud finds it's way round the side to connect with Shooter's head. Shooter feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Shooter passes into half guard. Shooter thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Straud's head. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Straud is trying to maintain the position but Shooter is very close to passing his half guard. Shooter is looking to advance position but Straud won't allow it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Straud keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Shooter throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Straud trying to hold on to Shooter's head to control him but Shooter postures up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Shooter is pressing down on Straud's thigh, looking to free his foot. Straud is holding on for now. Shooter thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Straud's head. Shooter thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Shooter lands a nice short elbow. Shooter thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Shooter is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Shooter not landing any meaningful shots this time. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Straud can do anything to dispel that myth. Shooter not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Straud has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Shooter is working away from the top position though. Straud really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Shooter. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Shooter connects with a nice short shot to Straud's temple. Shooter seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Shooter wants to pass the guard but Straud is defending well. Straud avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Shooter. Shooter takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Shooter not landing any meaningful shots this time.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Shooter lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Shooter trying to control from half guard but Straud is working away. Straud felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it. Straud keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Shooter has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Shooter sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Straud defending well though. Shooter is working for a kimura but Straud is defending it quite comfortably.
Shooter not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Six Shooter dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Shooter closes the distance and clinches up with Straud, looking for a takedown. Shooter pushes Straud against the cage but Straud circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Straud misses with a straight right. Shooter has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Straud finds it's way round the side to connect with Shooter's head. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Shooter tries to clinch up but Straud circles away and keeps his distance. Shooter shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Straud pinned against the cage. Straud gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Shooter blocks a jab.
That's one minute gone in the round. Shooter changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Straud tries to avoid it but Shooter manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Straud to the ground. Straud escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Six Shooter. That's going to take a lot out of him. Shooter tries to close the distance and clinch but Straud swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Straud displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Shooter. Boone Straud is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Straud lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Shooter at a distance.
Shooter lands a nice looking body shot.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Shooter shoots in for a takedown but Straud shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Good shot there by Straud.
It looks like Six Shooter has been cut. Straud misses with the combination.
Straud takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Shooter tries to clinch but Straud moves out of range. Six Shooter seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Shooter throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Straud's waist but Straud gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Shooter off to one side.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Shooter will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Shooter doesn't manage to clinch there - Straud circles away.
Shooter closes the distance looking to clinch and Shooter takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Shooter changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Straud tries to avoid it but Shooter manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Straud to the ground. Straud escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Shooter displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Straud throws out the jab. Shooter is looking to clinch but Straud is avoiding it.
Shooter fails miserably with a takedown attempt. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Shooter fails with the takedown. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Boone Straud showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Six Shooter's cut. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

Shooter moves to clinch but Straud breaks away and Straud connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Shooter tries to clinch there but Straud circles away.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Straud lands a glancing blow to the side of Shooter's head. Shooter pushes Straud up against the cage in a clinch. Shooter tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Straud's elbow. Shooter has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Straud avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Six Shooter. That's going to take a lot out of him. Straud stops a takedown attempt from Shooter.
Shooter blocks a punch to the side of the head.

Shooter jumps guard but Straud turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

Shooter is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Straud slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Six Shooter overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Shooter is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Shooter is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Straud wants to control from the top but Shooter keeps moving. Shooter looking to hit a scissor sweep but Straud is one step ahead there.

Straud must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Shooter working a defensive guard here.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Straud is sitting in close to Shooter's body. Shooter has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Straud is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Straud is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Shooter.
