Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lou Ferrigno (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Onizuka Stresemann (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Stresemann has chosen Takashi Sorimachi - Poison as his entrance music. Lou Ferrigno is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 21 - 15 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Lou Ferrigno!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Onizuka Stresemann!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Frank Dennis and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ferrigno looks to land a combination but Stresemann avoids it well.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
A looping hook to the body misses from Stresemann. Ferrigno does a little dance to reset his feet.

Stresemann pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Ferrigno lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Stresemann circles away quickly and effectively.
We've been hearing reports that Ferrigno has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Stresemann dives in and grabs Ferrigno's left leg, looking for a takedown. Ferrigno pushes down on Stresemann's head and hops out.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Stresemann creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Stresemann breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Stresemann will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Ferrigno throws a nice looking combination but Stresemann bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Stresemann shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Ferrigno eats them both and turns towards Stresemann to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

This has been an exciting period of action!

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Stresemann has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Lou Ferrigno has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Onizuka Stresemann.
Stresemann throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Ferrigno stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

Ferrigno escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Stresemann gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Ferrigno will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Ferrigno has his foot on Stresemann's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Stresemann works his way back into a safe position though.

Stresemann is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Ferrigno can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Well Stresemann has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
