Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 19 - 23 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, John Dodson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Gwen Towbar and Tiny Johnson.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dodson fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Dodson goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Mandella has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Dodson wants to clinch up but Mandella keeps it at a distance.
Dodson darts in looking for a takedown but Mandella gets double underhooks and turns Dodson into the cage.

Mandella has hold of one of Dodson's legs. Dodson is fighting the takedown attempt but Mandella gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Dodson working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Mandella.
Mandella postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Mandella is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

Mandella is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Dodson has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Mandella is looking to defend but Dodson has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Mandella! Dodson pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Mandella taps out and this one is all over!

John Dodson opened up his post fight interview with a scream to camera that he wants a title shot! Whether he deserves the shot will be up to the management of the organization, so I guess he'll have to wait and see.
