Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Rocky Marciano (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bushido Brown (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Marciano kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Lets Dance. Brown has chosen Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros - Home as his entrance music. Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Ben Hemmingworth, Eliza Hachem and Darius Henderson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brown throws a leg kick
and Marciano counters with a left and a right that stings Brown.
Brown dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Brown misses with a jab, cross combination.
Brown feints and as Marciano raises his hands in defense, Brown changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Marciano has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Brown misses the shot to the body.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Marciano cracks Brown with an open hand slap.
Brown is looking to clinch.
Brown throws a nice looking combination but Marciano bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Marciano displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Brown throws out the jab.
Brown tries for a takedown but Marciano sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Marciano cracks Brown with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Brown chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Marciano can pounce on him.
Brown fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Nice straight punches there by Marciano. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Marciano.
Brown looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Marciano is concentrating on defense, preventing Brown from advancing position.

Marciano works his way to full guard. Good work.
Marciano tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Marciano is working hard here to advance position.
Brown throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Marciano works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Marciano is pulling down on Brown's head. It's preventing any offense from Brown, at least for the moment.
Marciano is trying to control the position but Brown postures up.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Rocky Marciano.
Nice takedown defense from Marciano. No joy for Brown on that attempt.

Marciano is taking a breather. Brown says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Brown is pressing down on Marciano's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Marciano wants to control from the top but Brown keeps moving.

Marciano slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Brown is controlling Marciano's posture.
Marciano keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Brown's head.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Marciano won't allow Brown to get back to his feet.
Brown isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Marciano stacks Brown on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Marciano!
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Marciano is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Brown looks calm but he's in trouble here. Marciano gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Brown is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Marciano lets go of the hold and Brown can pop his arm back in it's socket.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Rocky Marciano!
In his post fight interview, Rocky Marciano started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
