Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Crow Leddy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Max Heimer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Max Heimer has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Crow Leddy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Lou da Vinci and Russell Pearce.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Leddy rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Heimer moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Horrible takedown by Heimer or perhaps it was just good defense by Leddy which made him look bad.

and Leddy counters with a takedown into side control.
Heimer looks winded!
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Leddy misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Heimer tries to buck Leddy off but Leddy is having none of it.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Heimer can do anything to dispel that myth.

Heimer has Leddy pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Heimer pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Leddy tumbling to the mat - Heimer dives into Leddy's guard.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Max Heimer hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Leddy fails to land with a series of punches.
Leddy swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Heimer.

Leddy throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Heimer tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Leddy is in Heimer's guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Leddy is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Heimer is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Leddy is aware though and is defending well.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Crow Leddy.

Heimer closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Leddy tries to buck Heimer off but Heimer is having none of it.
Leddy manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
Well, if Leddy is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Leddy lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

Heimer wants to improve his position but Leddy is controlling well.
