Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Alec Olson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jaye Wong! The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Emerson Jorge and Seu Braga.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Olson forces Wong back against the cage and clinches. Wong looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Olson pulls guard effortlessly. Olson might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Wong stopping the sweep attempt from Olson. Olson is looking for a triangle here but Wong uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Olson is looking to reverse the position. Olson is trying to get back to his feet. Olson prevents Wong from moving into mount. Wong is trying to get an arm triangle but Olson is defending well.

Wong is trying to defend but Olson finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Wong keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Wong gets caught flat footed, as Olson shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Wong is striking from the bottom but Olson uses the opportunity to pass into half guard. Wong controlling the position well. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Olson connects with a nice short shot to Wong's temple. Wong is not content to let Olson control the position. Wong is letting Olson control him for a moment.

Wong swats away the attempt to clinch by Olson. We've been informed that Wong has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight. Wong shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Olson but Olson pushes him off and we're back to square one. Olson shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Wong as he jumps to the side. Olson is looking to clinch. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Wong fails with the takedown. Wong circles away from the clinch attempt.
