Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Daniel Brown (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Itsu Hitigaki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hitigaki has chosen The Whistler as his entrance music. Itsu Hitigaki has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Daniel Brown!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Itsu Hitigaki!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Shigeki Fujiwara and Taro Takaoka.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hitigaki tries to land a front kick but Brown steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Brown cracks Hitigaki with a right hand to the side of the head.

Brown shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Hitigaki manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Brown drops back looking for a leg! Hitigaki is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Hitigaki manages to kick Brown off! Brown jumps back into Hitigaki's guard.

Hitigaki looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Daniel Brown.

Brown closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Hitigaki to the mat! Hitigaki manages to get full guard.
Brown is pushing down on Hitigaki's leg trying to pass to half guard. Hitigaki is fighting to maintain full guard but Brown has managed to sneak the leg through.
Hitigaki really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Brown. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Hitigaki tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Brown manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Brown bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.

Hitigaki is looking to clinch but Brown is avoiding it.
Hitigaki stuffs the takedown attempt from Brown. Brown gets slowly back to his feet.

and Brown counters with a single leg into guard. Hitigaki didn't expect that.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Brown stays in close to Hitigaki's body and controls the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Brown, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
