Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Hiilo Rodrigo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dean Corll (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rodrigo's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Jedi Mind Tricks- The Philosophy of Horror. Corll is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: South Texas Death Ride. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Corll looks to land a left hand but Rodrigo moved out of range nicely.
Rodrigo throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Corll stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
No joy there for Rodrigo, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Rodrigo walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Corll checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.

and Rodrigo counters with a nice uppercut.
Corll throws a big shot that misses.
Rodrigo avoids the body shot from Corll.
Corll has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Corll throws a lazy right hand but Rodrigo sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Rodrigo shoots in for a takedown but Corll shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Rodrigo tries to score a power double leg takedown but Corll sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Rodrigo somewhat.

Rodrigo throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Corll sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Rodrigo ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Corll moves away.
Corll looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Rodrigo is fending him off so far but Corll persists. Nope, Rodrigo circles away and we're back to standing.

Corll shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Rodrigo sprawls well. Rodrigo wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Corll gets slowly back to his feet.
Rodrigo takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

and Corll decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Rodrigo's guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Rodrigo wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Rodrigo fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Corll.

Corll takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Corll cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Oh Rodrigo is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Corll has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Rodrigo's face.
Corll unloads with some vicious shots from mount and Rodrigo wants out - he looks towards the referee who steps in to save him! Corll celebrates on the cage and the crowd goes wild!
