Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Wiley Montoya (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cain Marks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Wiley Montoya! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Cain Marks! The judges for this bout are Ben Watson, Francis DeMontford and Chris Dean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Montoya looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Marks is fending him off so far but Montoya persists. Nope, Marks circles away and we're back to standing. Marks circles away from the clinch attempt enabling Marks to counter with a crisp jab. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Marks. Montoya gets in close and instigates a clinch. Marks avoiding damage as Montoya throws knees to the body.
Marks tries for a takedown. No joy.
Marks prevents Montoya from breaking the clinch. Marks's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
That's one minute gone in the round. Marks misses with a left hand and Montoya counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Montoya wants to break the clinch but can't.
Marks wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Montoya really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Montoya missing with knees to the body.
Montoya is working for takedown but Marks is calmly controlling the position for now. Montoya looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Marks escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Marks moves out of range of the strikes. Marks closes the distance and clinches. Montoya jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Marks walks away with a smile on his face. Montoya gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Wiley Montoya. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Marks lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Montoya circles away quickly and effectively. Montoya clinches. Montoya dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage. Marks turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Marks wants to stand but Montoya has his arm trapped. This has been an exciting period of action! Montoya is looking to reverse the position. Marks is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Montoya is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Montoya parries the strikes from Marks easily there. Marks is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Montoya to escape.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Montoya is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Marks off and has taken his back! Marks trying to control the position but Montoya manages to sink in the hooks. Montoya looking to break Marks's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Marks remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Montoya will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke! Marks trying to control the hands but Montoya won't let him. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Montoya throwing lazy shots from the back mount that aren't doing any damage. Montoya working for the choke.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Marks looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Marks is in bad spot here.

That was a close round but I would say that Wiley Montoya will probably get the nod. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Montoya fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Marks sprawls well initially but Montoya persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Montoya is trying to work for a kimura but Marks is defending well.
Marks is trying to control but can't.
Montoya scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Montoya is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Marks doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Montoya.
That's one minute gone in the round. Marks regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Montoya. Montoya loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Marks is pulling down on Montoya's head to control his posture.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Montoya keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Marks's head. Montoya would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Montoya throwing strikes from guard but Marks blocks nicely. Marks is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Marks wants to sweep here but Montoya controlling him for the moment.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Montoya throwing strikes but missing. Montoya working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Marks working for a triangle but Montoya defends it easily.
Montoya loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Montoya has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Marks looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Montoya would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Montoya drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Marks dives on top into guard. Marks trying to control but Montoya is working from the bottom. Montoya will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Wiley Montoya dominated that second round. That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!
Marks shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Montoya pinned against the cage. Montoya gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Montoya tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Marks manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Marks misses with a low kick. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Marks dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Montoya. That did some damage! Marks gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Marks breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
That's one minute gone in the round. Marks shoots in and bounces Montoya off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Montoya is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Marks stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Montoya swivels though and keeps the full guard. Marks throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Montoya looking to hit a scissor sweep but Marks is one step ahead there. Marks trying to control but Montoya is working from the bottom. Marks tries to free his leg and advance position but Montoya is retaining full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Marks working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Marks trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Marks looking to sit in guard and control but Montoya gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Marks is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Montoya decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Marks, up you get! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Montoya moves in looking to clinch but Marks pushes him off.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Marks fails with a takedown attempt. Marks takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Montoya is looking to clinch. Marks stuffs the takedown. Cain Marks is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Marks pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Marks tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Montoya defends well and Marks ends up having to push Montoya into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Wiley Montoya has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Cain Marks.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Montoya wants a takedown.

Marks is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath. Marks goes for a takedown in the clinch but Montoya prevents it.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. A head punch on the inside from Montoya fails to land. Cain Marks has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Wiley Montoya is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. A bit of stalling here from Montoya.
And that's the end of the fight! Cain Marks comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Montoya has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
