PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lock Bresner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Karol Mojkowski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mojkowski has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Karol Mojkowski will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Lock Bresner!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Karol Mojkowski!
The judges for this bout are Bart Greer, David Hoff and Sandra Marshall.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bresner shoots in and drives through. Mojkowski sprawls well.
Bresner really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Mojkowski landing knees to the head.


It looks like Lock Bresner has been cut.
A right hook to the body lands for Mojkowski.
Bresner takes an elbow to the temple.

Mojkowski is pressed up against the cage. Bresner has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Mojkowski down to the mat. Mojkowski avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Bresner is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Bresner is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Bresner is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Bresner looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Mojkowski with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Bresner looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.

Bresner has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Bresner is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Mojkowski can't fight it off and eventually Bresner manages to take the fight to the floor. Mojkowski looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Bresner has Mojkowski pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Mojkowski manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Bresner turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
Mojkowski pushes Bresner away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Bresner gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Bresner swings around for an armbar but Mojkowski sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Bresner's guard.

Mojkowski gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Mojkowski's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Bresner wants a takedown.
Mojkowski works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
Mojkowski can't find room to land a body shot as Bresner controls the action.
Mojkowski tries a knee to the head but he's missed.

Bresner has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Mojkowski clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Bresner is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Bresner has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Mojkowski has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

Bresner is trying to drag Mojkowski to the mat but Mojkowski just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Mojkowski tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Bresner avoids it.
Karol Mojkowski seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far.

Mojkowski creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Bresner's defenses.
Bresner wants to take the fight to the mat but Mojkowski manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Mojkowski creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.

Bresner gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
Bresner distracts Mojkowski with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Mojkowski is looking to stand back up but Bresner counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Mojkowski.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Bresner is working for a submission of some sort.

Bresner maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Mojkowski could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Bresner has cracked it and Mojkowski is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Bresner!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:46 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Lock Bresner!
A relieved looking Lock Bresner thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
