Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jonathan Hall (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jorge Santiago (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Santiago has chosen Baauer - Harlem Shake as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

12 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jonathan Hall! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
14 - 6 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jorge Santiago! The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, David Schapiro and Bruno Lombardi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Santiago shoots in looking for a takedown. Hall tries to sprawl out of it but Santiago keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Hall manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Santiago throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Hall misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Santiago.
Hall looks to throw a body kick and Santiago counters with a lovely straight right hand! Hall throws a hook to the side of Santiago's head but Santiago sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Hall attempts a low kick but it misses it's target. Hall throws an off balance right hand
and Santiago counters with a right hand to the body. Hall misses with a straight right. Santiago is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Santiago shoots and misses so Hall counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Santiago keeping moving, preventing Hall from controlling successfully. Hall sitting in guard here, content to control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Hall scores with a crisp jab that stopped Santiago in his tracks. Santiago fakes the leg kick and cracks Hall in the body. Santiago shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Hall sprawls well. Hall wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Santiago gets slowly back to his feet. Hall's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Santiago connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Hall scrambles back to his feet. Hall misses with a low kick as Santiago jumps back. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Hall connects with a solid leg kick. Hall scores with a jab. Santiago acknowledges it with a nod of the head. Hall keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Hall wants to slow Santiago down by chopping away at his legs. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jonathan Hall dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Hall throws a mid kick that lands with a slap. Nice body punch from Hall. Hall clobbers Santiago with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. A solid leg kick lands there for Hall.

Santiago throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Hall sees it coming and avoids it easily. Hall tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Santiago was well out of range. Santiago gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Hall counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Hall has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage.

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Hall is looking to advance position but Santiago won't allow it. Santiago checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time. Hall is looking to score with low kicks. Santiago misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Hall lands a jab to the nose. Santiago cracks Hall with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Jonathan Hall is winning the standup battle so far.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hall lands with a hook. Santiago tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Santiago steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Hall. That one must have hurt. Santiago moves out of range of the body kick. Hall digs a good body shot into Santiago's ribs. Hall cracks a nice hook into Santiago's ribs. Hall jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Santiago looks for a takedown but Hall sprawls well. A clash of legs there as Santiago blocks the low kick. Hall throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Hall fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Santiago has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Jorge Santiago has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
