The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice sprawl there from Laakkonen as Nurmelainen shoots in.
Laakkonen looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Nurmelainen shoots in but Laakkonen avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Nurmelainen rushes Laakkonen and presses him up against the cage.
Nurmelainen wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Nurmelainen escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Laakkonen gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Nurmelainen drops back looking for a leg! Laakkonen is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Laakkonen manages to kick Nurmelainen off! Nurmelainen jumps back into Laakkonen's guard.
