19 - 26 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tomasz Adamek! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Don Winkell and .
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Adamek fails with a takedown attempt. Svensen forces Adamek back against the cage and clinches. A frustrated look appears on Adamek's face as he tries to break the clinch. Adamek is fighting off a takedown attempt but Svensen is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Adamek to the mat. Adamek regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. Svensen trying to control but Adamek is working from the bottom. Adamek is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Svensen passes Adamek's left leg - he's now in half guard. Adamek is doing well to control the position and prevent Svensen from advancing to side control. Adamek trying to control but Svensen postures up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Svensen wants to pass to mount but Adamek is defending the position. Adamek wants to control but Svensen is keeping busy and won't allow it. Adamek is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Svensen is staying active. Svensen seems to be working for a kimura but Adamek defends the submission attempt. Adamek looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Adamek tries to roll over but Svensen keeps him under control. Svensen wants to pass to mount but Adamek is defending the position. Adamek wants to control but Svensen is keeping busy.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Adamek is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Svensen's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Svensen's back! Adamek looking for the choke from the back. Well, with Adamek on his back, surely it's only a matter of time before Svensen is tapping out... Can he escape the position? Svensen is defending well here and trying to improve his position.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Adamek looking for the choke but no joy. Svensen rolls, trying to escape but Adamek keeps control of the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Adamek looking for the RNC. Svensen is trying to break free.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Adamek is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Svensen is defending well though. Adamek let's go of the attempt for now. Adamek has the hooks in. Svensen is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted. Adamek is looking for the choke from the back position but Svensen is controlling his hands well. Adamek is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Svensen defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined. Svensen manages to reverse the position and now he's in Adamek's guard. Nice work there by Svensen.
Svensen has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Adamek working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Svensen doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Svensen manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
That's four minutes gone in the round. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Adamek utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Svensen is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Adamek is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Svensen is aware though and is defending well. Svensen trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Svensen is looking to work some ground and pound but Adamek has wrist control. Adamek throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Svensen escapes and throws Adamek's legs to the side, diving into side control! Adamek holding on. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Adamek is not content to let Svensen control the position. Adamek is positioning himself to get back to half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Tomasz Adamek will probably get the nod. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Svensen throws a head kick that misses. Adamek shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Svensen wants to get back to full guard. My spies in Soul Supremacy Elite Gym inform me that Adamek has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends! Adamek has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Adamek controlling the pace for now. Svensen wants to control but Adamek is having none of it.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Adamek has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Svensen is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Adamek controlling the pace for now. Svensen is in a horrible position here. Adamek smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Svensen working to try and regain half guard.
Adamek takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Svensen is squirming around, avoiding Adamek's attempts to control the action. Svensen taking shots to the head.

Svensen bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! Adamek looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Svensen wants to control from the top but Adamek keeps moving. Svensen pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Adamek is keeping the position for now. Svensen trying to control but Adamek is working from the bottom. Svensen works a leg free and moves into half guard. Adamek looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Svensen controlling the action here. Svensen seems to be working for a kimura but Adamek defends the submission attempt. Adamek is pressing down on Svensen's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Svensen not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Adamek keeping moving, preventing Svensen from controlling successfully. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Svensen postures up.

Tomasz Adamek showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!
Adamek dives in for a single leg takedown but Svensen sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Adamek lands with a short head shot on the inside. Svensen is trying to stall.
Svensen is trying to trip Adamek. He has hold of a leg but Adamek is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Svensen persists though and gets the takedown into guard. Tomasz Adamek has got the better of the ground game so far. Svensen keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Adamek's head. Adamek trying to control the position.
Svensen trying to control but Adamek is working from the bottom. Adamek looking for a guillotine here but Svensen defends easily.

That's one minute gone in the round. Svensen throws a big elbow that misses. Svensen trying to control the position from guard on top but Adamek is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Adamek controls Svensen momentarily but Svensen frees himself. Svensen trying to control but Adamek is working from the bottom. Svensen postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Adamek looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Adamek is trying to keep Svensen in close.
Adamek is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Svensen gets to his feet and stands over Adamek, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Adamek felt that one! Svensen unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Adamek from any more punishment!
