The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Madge shoots in looking for a takedown but Woodley manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Madge's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Woodley shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Madge's guard.

Woodley seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

It looks like Don Madge has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Madge has momentary wrist control but Woodley slips an elbow through the middle.

Woodley loads up on a big left hand. Madge felt that one! He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Woodley looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Madge can't hide his disappointment, as Woodley celebrates the victory.
