The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bishop Jr closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming McCole to the mat! McCole manages to get full guard.

McCole working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Bishop Jr doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Bishop Jr manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

McCole is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Bishop Jr defends well.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

McCole escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Bishop Jr gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

McCole is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Bishop Jr is aware though and is defending well.

Bishop Jr really doesn't want to stay on the ground with McCole. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

McCole is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Bishop Jr frees his head nicely. Oh but McCole has switched to an armbar! Bishop Jr is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
