Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Carlos Rey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Hetfield (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hetfield has chosen Enter Sandman as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
10 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Carlos Rey! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, James Hetfield! The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Chris Downing and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hetfield throws a lazy uppercut
and Rey counters with a straight right hand.
It looks like James Hetfield has been cut. Rey closes the distance and pushes Hetfield back into the cage. Hetfield wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Rey has him pressed against the cage. Hetfield stops a takedown attempt from Rey.
Hetfield tries to break the clinch but Rey is controlling the position. Hetfield wants to break free but Rey has control.
Rey turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Rey manages to end up in side control. Rey working the ground and pound from side control. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Hetfield can do anything to dispel that myth. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Hetfield dodges the ground and pound from Rey. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Rey prevents Hetfield from escaping the position. Hetfield told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet. Rey taking a breather here. Rey trying to control the position but Hetfield is working away. Check out the look on Rey's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Hetfield is rocked! Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Hetfield is trying to escape and get back to his feet. Hetfield is still in real trouble! Can Rey finish him? Rey lands a strong strike to the head of Hetfield. That's dazed him! Rey looking to finish here. Hetfield is waving his arms around trying to block but he's hurt badly - Rey lands more strikes and the referee steps in to end the fight!
