Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Pikku N�k�r�inen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Katsu Higashikuni (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the featherweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
32 - 14 - 2, fighting out of Helsinki, Pikku N�k�r�inen! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
28 - 15 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Katsu Higashikuni! The judges for this bout are Roosa J�rvil�inen, Arvi Lind and Marco Blurstr�m.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! N�k�r�inen throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Higashikuni sees it coming and avoids it easily. N�k�r�inen checks the leg kick nicely there.
N�k�r�inen lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
N�k�r�inen shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Higashikuni manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Higashikuni keeping moving, preventing N�k�r�inen from controlling successfully. N�k�r�inen controlling from the top position. N�k�r�inen missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Higashikuni is looking for a triangle but N�k�r�inen pushes his legs off easily.
Higashikuni has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but N�k�r�inen can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

We've been hearing good reports from N�k�r�inen's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today. Higashikuni is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. N�k�r�inen is pushing down on Higashikuni's leg trying to pass to half guard. Higashikuni is fighting to maintain full guard but N�k�r�inen has managed to sneak the leg through.
N�k�r�inen is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

 That's two minutes gone in the round. N�k�r�inen seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Higashikuni does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Higashikuni avoiding damage under a succession of punches from N�k�r�inen. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. N�k�r�inen lands a nice short elbow. N�k�r�inen takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. N�k�r�inen is pressing down on Higashikuni's thigh, looking to free his foot. Higashikuni is holding on for now. N�k�r�inen not landing any meaningful shots this time. Higashikuni is staying active underneath N�k�r�inen, who seems content to just control the action from this position. N�k�r�inen throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Higashikuni wants to control but N�k�r�inen is keeping busy and won't allow it. Higashikuni wants to improve his position but N�k�r�inen is controlling well.

N�k�r�inen is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. N�k�r�inen is stalling here. Higashikuni is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! N�k�r�inen seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Higashikuni has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work. N�k�r�inen manages to work his way to half guard, despite Higashikuni's best efforts.

Higashikuni lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Higashikuni missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Higashikuni trying to control the action but N�k�r�inen is working from the bottom. Higashikuni might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control N�k�r�inen haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! N�k�r�inen tries to get to full guard but Higashikuni has control of the leg. And that�s the end of the round � the fighters go back to their corners.
Pikku N�k�r�inen dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as N�k�r�inen checks a leg kick. Higashikuni scores with a crisp jab that stopped N�k�r�inen in his tracks.

N�k�r�inen got a little sloppy there for a moment and Higashikuni has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, N�k�r�inen has managed to get both his arms back between Higashikuni's legs - danger averted. Higashikuni wants to sweep here but N�k�r�inen controlling him for the moment. N�k�r�inen slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. N�k�r�inen throwing strikes but missing. Hammerfist, elbow! yells N�k�r�inen's corner. There ya go! There ya go! N�k�r�inen trying to control but Higashikuni is working from the bottom. N�k�r�inen in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Higashikuni keeping full guard, as N�k�r�inen tries to pass. Pikku N�k�r�inen overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Higashikuni looking for a sweep. Not yet Higashikuni, not yet.

Higashikuni escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. N�k�r�inen gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. N�k�r�inen has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Higashikuni is on top in guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. N�k�r�inen keeping moving, preventing Higashikuni from controlling successfully.
Higashikuni has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing N�k�r�inen to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Higashikuni is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - N�k�r�inen pulls down on the head and he's put Higashikuni to sleep! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:57 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Pikku N�k�r�inen! Pikku N�k�r�inen retains his featherweight title! A very excited looking Pikku N�k�r�inen made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
