Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Ippoo Makunouchi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Orlin jr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Makunouchi tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and jr counters with a leg kick.

jr gets a takedown into half guard.
Still in half guard, jr seems content to control.
Let's hope that jr has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
jr is nestled in close to Makunouchi, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Orlin jr was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Makunouchi tries to close the distance and clinch but jr swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Makunouchi shoots and misses

and jr counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by jr.
Makunouchi will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

jr lands a big shot there that rocks Makunouchi but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Makunouchi is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. jr locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! Makunouchi is forced to tap!
