Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between mauricio minatauro silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Raphael Paiva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). silva 's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, ya'll gonna make me loose my mind. Paiva is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Breaveheart Soundtrack. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Crunch! silva slams his shin into Paiva's torso.
Paiva takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
silva shoots in for a double leg but Paiva sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Raphael Paiva seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Paiva bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

silva tries to kick Paiva off but Paiva keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Paiva wants to work for an arm triangle but silva is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Paiva manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. silva manages to get himself to full guard.
silva will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Paiva wants to control from the top but silva keeps moving.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Paiva drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but silva manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Paiva has silva in his guard.

Paiva goes for an armbar but silva turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from silva .

That's time! silva 's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Paiva clinches up with silva and pushes him back against the cage.
silva tries for a takedown but Paiva manages to get underhooks.
Paiva breaks from the clinch.
Paiva throws an overhand right that lands on silva 's shoulder, as silva tries to avoid the shot.
Paiva scores with a takedown into silva 's guard.
Paiva is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Paiva stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. silva swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Paiva thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Paiva is keen to just control but silva is a slippery customer.
