Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Angel Mccarthy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gordon Conway (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Angel Mccarthy! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Gordon Conway! The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Dillan Fox and Trevor Gratis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Conway misses with a takedown attempt and Mccarthy counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Mccarthy tries to break the clinch but Conway is controlling the position. Mccarthy wants to break the clinch but can't.
Mccarthy tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Conway just stands there and leans against the cage. Conway jumps guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Mccarthy slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Conway is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Mccarthy stands up from Conway's guard - Mccarthy perhaps looking for a knockout. Conway ducks under a wild hook from Mccarthy.
That's one minute gone in the round. Conway doesn't succeed with the takedown and Mccarthy counters with a nice uppercut. Conway darts in and clinches Mccarthy up against the cage. Mccarthy changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Conway fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Mccarthy closes the distance and pushes Conway back into the cage. Mccarthy is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Angel Mccarthy. That's going to take a lot out of him. Conway stops a takedown attempt from Mccarthy.
Mccarthy has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Conway after a bit of a struggle. Mccarthy is trying to pull guard but Conway has him pressed against the cage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Conway changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Mccarthy fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Conway fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Mccarthy, pushing him back against the cage. Conway manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Mccarthy really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Mccarthy postures up.
Conway looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Mccarthy would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Conway looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Conway wants to stand and escape but Mccarthy is having none of it. Conway is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Mccarthy sitting in guard here, content to control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Conway tries for a takedown but Mccarthy sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Conway shoots in for a takedown but Mccarthy shows good takedown defense. Conway looks for a takedown but Mccarthy sprawls well. Conway looks winded! Conway closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Mccarthy has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Conway after a bit of a struggle. Conway prevents Mccarthy from breaking the clinch. Conway is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage. Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Conway obliges. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Mccarthy is working for takedown but Conway is calmly controlling the position for now. Conway pulls guard. Mccarthy postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Gordon Conway will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Conway drives through and clinches with Mccarthy against the cage.
Conway breaks from the clinch.
Conway tries to score a power double leg takedown but Mccarthy sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Conway somewhat. Conway throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Conway has his takedown stuffed and Mccarthy counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Conway! Mccarthy stands up. Conway fails with the takedown and Mccarthy counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Angel Mccarthy has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Gordon Conway.
That's one minute gone in the round. Conway gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Mccarthy.
Conway is looking to take this one to the mat. Conway is breathing heavily. A battle for position here, against the cage. Mccarthy is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace. Mccarthy drops down looking for an ankle pick but Conway pulls his leg out and moves away.
Conway shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Conway throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
That's two minutes gone in the round. No luck with that takedown attempt from Conway. Mccarthy throws a head kick that misses. Conway misses with a takedown attempt and Mccarthy counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Mccarthy tries to pull guard but Conway forces him back to his feet, against the cage. A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors. Mccarthy tries for a takedown but Conway manages to get underhooks.
Mccarthy doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Mccarthy lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Conway should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Mccarthy is thwarting Conway's attempts to control the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Conway slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Mccarthy scoring with some ground and pound. Mccarthy wants to stand but Conway is controlling his posture from full guard. Mccarthy drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Conway manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Mccarthy has Conway in his guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Conway tries to free his leg and advance position but Mccarthy is retaining full guard. Mccarthy is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Conway defends well. Angel Mccarthy overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Mccarthy controlling the position. Mccarthy will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Conway in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Conway stopping the sweep attempt from Mccarthy. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Angel Mccarthy dominated that second round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
Mccarthy gets tackled into the cage by Conway. Conway maintains the clinch. Mccarthy takes a shot to the head. Conway jumps guard but Mccarthy turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. Mccarthy tries for a takedown. No joy.
Conway is trying to pull guard but Mccarthy has him pressed against the cage. Conway stalling in the clinch but Mccarthy improves position. Conway breaks from the clinch.
Conway shoots for a takedown but Mccarthy saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Angel Mccarthy has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Gordon Conway. The fighters circling - Mccarthy throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Mccarthy wants to clinch and Conway moves into the clinch. Conway escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Conway shoots for a takedown but Mccarthy saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Conway takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
That's one minute gone in the round. Conway closes the distance and pushes Mccarthy back into the cage. Conway tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Mccarthy drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Conway gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Mccarthy is adopting a defensive guard. Mccarthy's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Angel Mccarthy. Conway dives in and grabs Mccarthy's left leg, looking for a takedown. Mccarthy pushes down on Conway's head and hops out. Conway closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Conway has picked Mccarthy up - he's going for a ride! Conway dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Mccarthy tries to get to full guard but Conway has control of the leg. Conway thows a huge punch but Mccarthy dodges it nicely.
Mccarthy wants to sweep but Conway has passed to side control! Mccarthy gets back to half guard. Mccarthy gets full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Conway trying to control the position from guard on top but Mccarthy is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Mccarthy wants to sweep here but Conway controlling him for the moment. Mccarthy is adopting a defensive guard. Conway wants to pass the guard but Mccarthy is keeping the position. Conway wanted to stand there but Mccarthy had control of the position. Conway preventing the sweep.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Conway trying to control but Mccarthy is working from the bottom.
Gordon Conway has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Mccarthy just misses with a punch to the body.
Mccarthy is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Conway fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Mccarthy, pushing him back against the cage. A battle for position here, against the cage. Mccarthy is trying to drag Conway to the mat but Conway just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Mccarthy has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Conway after a bit of a struggle.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Gordon Conway. I think Conway has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
