Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Carol Nash (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike McDaniel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Carol Nash! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mike McDaniel! The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Cecil Peabody and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nash pulls out of a head kick attempt.
McDaniel avoids the head kick by Nash.
McDaniel fails with an attempt to clinch.
McDaniel dips to his left and cracks Nash with an uppercut!
It looks like Carol Nash has been cut. Nash could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. McDaniel shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Nash counters with a single leg into guard. McDaniel didn't expect that. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. McDaniel working a defensive guard but Nash passes into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Nash thows a huge punch but McDaniel dodges it nicely.
Nash controlling the action here. McDaniel avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Nash. Nash working over McDaniel with some ground and pound. McDaniel looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.

Carol Nash has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. McDaniel tries to clinch but fails miserably and Nash counters by moving into the clinch. McDaniel is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
McDaniel goes for a takedown attempt but Nash pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nash misses with a body kick. McDaniel fails with the takedown and Nash counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Carol Nash has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mike McDaniel. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. McDaniel tries to get to full guard but Nash has control of the leg. Nash performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Nash drops an elbow to the side of McDaniel's head.
That's three minutes gone in the round. McDaniel wants to get back to full guard. Nash slows the pace down in half guard. McDaniel regains full guard. Nicely done. McDaniel looks winded! Nash is standing up over McDaniel. McDaniel looks to escape but Nash dives into side control.
McDaniel is being controlled here. Nash is putting a hurting on McDaniel here, landing some big shots from side control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Nash working the body and head with strikes. Nash lands a decent elbow from side control. McDaniel parries the strikes from Nash easily there. Nash is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable McDaniel to escape.

McDaniel is trying to work for a sweep but Nash has mounted him! Nash dominating with strikes here. This has been an exciting period of action! Nash takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. McDaniel tries to reverse the position but Nash maintains control. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. McDaniel taking shots to the head. Nash has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Nash controlling from mount. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Carol Nash dominated that round. The cut man is working on Carol Nash's cut. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
McDaniel tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Nash. McDaniel misses with a series of wild punches.

Nash throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. McDaniel dips to his left and cracks Nash with an uppercut! Nash changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. McDaniel tries to avoid it but Nash manages to keep hold of a leg and drag McDaniel to the ground. McDaniel escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. No joy there for Nash, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

McDaniel shoots in but Nash avoids the takedown attempt easily. McDaniel misses with a takedown attempt and Nash holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. McDaniel is breathing heavily. Nash wants a takedown but no success here.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Carol Nash. That's going to take a lot out of him. McDaniel escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Nash dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on McDaniel. That did some damage! Nash throws a nice looking combination but McDaniel bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. No luck for McDaniel with that takedown attempt. Nash swats away the attempt to clinch by McDaniel. Nash pulls out of a head kick attempt.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nash fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but McDaniel avoids it really well and circles away. Nash slips a straight right by McDaniel. McDaniel shoots for a double leg takedown but Nash sprawls well. He's pushed McDaniel's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Nash closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. McDaniel fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Nash jumps guard but McDaniel stands there with Nash around his waist. Nash gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Nash tries to stand but McDaniel is controlling from the bottom. That was a close second round but I would say that Carol Nash will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Carol Nash's cut. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Nash is trying to pull guard but McDaniel has him pressed against the cage. McDaniel lands a left hand that snaps the head of Nash backwards. The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as McDaniel takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. Nash has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. McDaniel wants to sweep here but Nash controlling him for the moment. Nash throws an elbow that misses. McDaniel uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Nash's guard. Nice move by McDaniel!

Nash has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. McDaniel's corner is telling him to maintain position. Nash tries to land a sweep but no joy. Nash pulls McDaniel in close to prevent any damage.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Nash shoots in for a takedown but McDaniel shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. McDaniel wants to clinch. McDaniel has his takedown stuffed and Nash counters with a nice double leg into guard. Nash might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Nash connects with a couple of short punches. Nash missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Nash landing with the ground and pound. Nash content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Nash controls from within his opponent's guard. Nash's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Nash lands a couple of elbows. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. McDaniel is wriggling around but Nash manages to pass to half guard.
Mike McDaniel has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Carol Nash is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. McDaniel with the active half guard here but Nash passes nicely into side control.
And that's the end of the fight! Carol Nash showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Nash, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
