Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Roger Timm! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Robert Dobczynski! The judges for this bout are David Hoff, Santiago Holmes and Peter Branson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Timm scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Dobczynski trying to control but Timm postures up.
Timm looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Timm wants to stand but Dobczynski has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now. Dobczynski controlling the position well. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Dobczynski moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dobczynski manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Timm manages to get himself to full guard.
Dobczynski decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Timm, up you get! A clash of legs there as Dobczynski blocks the low kick. Timm closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Dobczynski has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Timm is working away from the top position though. Timm is trying to control. Dobczynski wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Dobczynski keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount. The fighters are battling for position here. Dobczynski manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Timm looking to pass the guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Timm wants to get up but he can't break Dobczynski's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Dobczynski pulls Timm in close to prevent any damage.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Timm tries to clinch up but Dobczynski circles away and keeps his distance.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dobczynski closes the distance and clinches up with Timm, looking for a takedown. Dobczynski pushes Timm against the cage but Timm circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Timm shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Dobczynski is positioning himself well to prevent Timm advancing to mount. Dobczynski looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Dobczynski kicks Timm off and gets back to his feet. Dobczynski shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Timm sprawls well. Timm wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Dobczynski gets slowly back to his feet. Timm feints and as Dobczynski raises his hands in defense, Timm changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Timm trying to control but Dobczynski is working from the bottom. Dobczynski looking for a sweep. Not yet Dobczynski, not yet. Timm pushing down on Dobczynski's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Dobczynski is looking to improve his position.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Dobczynski is holding on to half guard well. Timm is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Dobczynski doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Timm. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Roger Timm dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Timm clinches. Timm is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Dobczynski can't fight it off and eventually Timm manages to take the fight to the floor. Dobczynski looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. Dobczynski is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Timm trying to control but Dobczynski is working from the bottom.

Dobczynski looking for a guillotine from mount but Timm is having none of it. Timm on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Timm tries to get out of the position. Dobczynski working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet. Dobczynski with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Timm is looking to improve his position but Dobczynski isn't that keen on the idea.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Timm wants to hold on but Dobczynski pushes him away. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Dobczynski is standing up, even though he is in mount. Timm shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Dobczynski wants to get back to full guard. Dobczynski is doing well to control the position and prevent Timm from advancing to side control. Dobczynski wants to get back to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Timm trying to mount his opponent but Dobczynski defends it. Timm trying to control from half guard but Dobczynski is working away. Dobczynski is trying to stand.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Dobczynski holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.

Timm got a little sloppy there for a moment and Dobczynski has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Timm has managed to get both his arms back between Dobczynski's legs - danger averted. Dobczynski throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

Robert Dobczynski showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Dobczynski has his hands clasped together around Timm's back. He's all about the action. Let's hope that Dobczynski has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Dobczynski slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Timm is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Dobczynski has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Timm is looking to defend but Dobczynski has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Timm! Dobczynski pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Timm taps out and this one is all over!
