Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jonathan Uso (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jim Beam (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Uso's entrance music is So Close Now. A fine choice. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Jonathan Uso! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Jim Beam! The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Ryoma Takatsuka and Paul Gruel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Uso falls off balance throwing a combination
and Beam counters by clinching up. Uso is trying to break the clinch but Beam has him pressed against the cage. Beam decides to pull guard. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Beam looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Uso forces his way into half guard. Uso lands with a punch from half guard. Uso postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Beam to stand up. Beam ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Beam tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Uso defends well and Beam ends up having to push Uso into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Beam missing with knees to the body.

Uso throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Beam counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
That's one minute gone in the round. Uso misses with a few strikes there.
Uso scores with a takedown into Beam's guard. Uso wants to control from the top but Beam keeps moving. Uso stands up from guard. Let's bang! Uso closes this distance looking for a takedown but Beam circles away. Beam keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Uso. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Uso is defended easily by Beam. Beam throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Uso tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Beam is in Uso's guard. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Uso seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Beam accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Beam is pushing down on Uso's leg trying to pass to half guard. Uso is fighting to maintain full guard but Beam has managed to sneak the leg through. Uso is trying to maintain the position but Beam is very close to passing his half guard. Uso keeping hold of Beam's head, controlling as best he can. Beam stops Uso from getting back to his feet.

Beam seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Uso does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Uso trying to control but Beam postures up.
We're going to have a standup here because Jonathan Uso wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Uso scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Beam has his hands clasped together around Uso's back. He's all about the action.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Uso is looking for a kimura here.

Uso looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Uso goes for a double leg but Beam avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Beam continues to drive forward. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Beam tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Jonathan Uso dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Uso fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Beam looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Uso is fending him off so far but Beam persists. Nope, Uso circles away and we're back to standing. Uso fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Beam avoids it really well and circles away. Beam misses with a takedown attempt so Uso counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Uso stands up and waves to Beam to follow him. A punch combination from Uso misses. A combination from Uso does no damage. Beam tries to clinch but Uso is having none of it. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Uso looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Beam tries to close the distance and clinch up but Uso swats him away and circles back towards the center. Uso misses with a takedown attempt - Beam sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jonathan Uso. That's going to take a lot out of him. Uso swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Beam trying to control but Uso is working from the bottom. Beam postures up.

Uso shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Beam has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Uso is working away from the top position though. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Beam is looking for a sweep. Uso is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Beam controlling the position well. Uso is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Beam is just riding it out for now. Uso eventually gives up the hold. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Jonathan Uso will probably get the nod. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

Beam is trying to drag Uso to the mat but Uso just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch. Uso wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Beam has him pressed against the cage. Beam changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Uso fights it off and pushes away nicely.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Uso trying to control the position from guard on top but Beam is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Beam is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Uso gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

Both fighters are breathing heavily. Beam wants to control but Uso is keeping busy and won't allow it. Beam is looking to improve his position.
Beam gets full guard. Uso sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Beam's guard. Uso is looking for a kimura here.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Uso is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
And that's the end of the fight! Jonathan Uso showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Uso, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
