Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Patrick Zorn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Viktor Savic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Patrick Zorn!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Viktor Savic!
The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Viktor Lagutenko and Sergei Dronov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Savic misses with a two punch combination.
Savic darts in trying to clinch

and Zorn counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Zorn is looking to work some ground and pound but Savic has wrist control.

Savic wants to sweep but no luck.
Zorn working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Savic's head.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Savic can do anything to dispel that myth.

Zorn seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Savic for as long as he can get away with.

Savic is looking to clinch but Zorn is avoiding it.

Zorn fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Savic to the ground. Zorn is now in Savic's guard.

Zorn goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Savic has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Zorn but great work by Savic.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Well Zorn has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
