Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Billy Branton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hannu Tappanii (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hannu Tappanii told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, John Kavanagh and Columbo Gatti.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Branton will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Branton throws a right hand that misses
and Tappanii counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Tappanii.
Tappanii drops back looking for a leg! Branton is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Branton manages to kick Tappanii off! Tappanii jumps back into Branton's guard.
Branton is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
My spies in The Jungle Elite MMA inform me that Tappanii has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Tappanii takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Tappanii is trying for a kimura here. Branton looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Tappanii wins by kimura!
