The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Balhares tries to move into range but Kinte moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Balhares looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Balhares looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Kinte fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Balhares looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Kinte looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Kinte throws a good cross that connects.
Kinte tries to bum rush Balhares with a series of wild strikes but Balhares uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Kinte connects with a looping right hand.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Kinte.
Kinte bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Balhares's head backwards.
Kinte moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Nice jab there from Kinte.
Kinte moves out of range as Balhares strikes.
Kinte connects with a body shot that sends Balhares's belly button to the back.
Kinte fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Left hook, right uppercut from Kinte.
Balhares is rocked!
Kinte closes the distance and lands a crisp combination that knocks Balhares out cold! Balhares corner are devastated, head in hands behind our commentary position. Poor guys.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:53 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Django Kinte!
