Hughes's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Country boy can survive. Dickens is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Trick Daddy - Shut Up. Ratt Hughes could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Buff Dickens's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
40 - 21 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Ratt Hughes! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
16 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Buff Dickens! The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Franklyn Lucas and Joseph Jones.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dickens has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Dickens there as he acknowledges the shot. Hughes seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym. Hughes scores with a jab to the body. Dickens feints a jab promting Hughes to slip. Dickens then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Hughes slips again and ducks right into an uppercut. Hughes uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Dickens. Dickens walks into a left hand. Dickens lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. A momentary lapse in concentration from Hughes enables Dickens to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Hughes manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Hughes managing to control the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Hughes keeping full guard, as Dickens tries to pass. Dickens throws a big right hand that misses. Hughes looking for a sweep. Not yet Hughes, not yet. Dickens controls from within his opponent's guard. Hughes is looking to cinch up a triangle. Dickens throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Hughes's body to avoid the submission. Hughes has instead reached around Dickens's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Hughes arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Ratt Hughes! Ratt Hughes seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
