Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Sam Rogers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Dunleavy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Sam Rogers! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Mike Dunleavy! The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Paulsen Ambrosius and Nard Betker.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rogers throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Dunleavy counters with a straight right hand. Rogers on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Dunleavy on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Dunleavy misses with a combination
so Rogers counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Rogers throwing strikes but missing. Dunleavy working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Rogers. Rogers keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Dunleavy's head. Rogers controls from within his opponent's guard. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Rogers tries to free his leg and advance position but Dunleavy is retaining full guard. Rogers landing some decent shots from guard. Rogers prevents Dunleavy from getting back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rogers looking to pass the guard. Rogers wants to control from the top but Dunleavy keeps moving. Rogers scoring with some ground and pound. Rogers lands a couple of decent looking shots. Rogers makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Rogers prevents Dunleavy from getting back to his feet. Dunleavy can't keep his opponent in guard - Rogers advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Dunleavy taking some punishment here, with Rogers in his half guard. Rogers postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Dunleavy to stand up. Dunleavy steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Rogers. Rogers throws a lazy right hand but Dunleavy sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Dunleavy misses with a combination
and Rogers counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Rogers rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Dunleavy counters with a three punch combo that has Rogers backing up. Rogers nods at Dunleavy to acknowledge the strikes. Dunleavy swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Rogers looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Dunleavy! Dunleavy looks winded! Rogers lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. Rogers landing strikes. Dunleavy is working to avoid the ground and pound but Rogers connects with a decent elbow. Rogers looks up at the clock and then as Dunleavy takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Rogers smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

That's three minutes gone in the round. Dunleavy on the wrong end of a nice jab. A punch combination from Dunleavy misses. Rogers throws a lazy right hand but Dunleavy sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Rogers shoots in and bounces Dunleavy off the ropes to secure the takedown into guard.
Dunleavy is rocked! Rogers scoring with some ground and pound. Dunleavy is still in real trouble! Can Rogers finish him? Rogers makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Rogers working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Rogers postures up from his opponent's guard, before exploding into some vicious ground and pound! Dunleavy covers up, he's hurt! Rogers keeps throwing the strikes, glancing at the referee... Will he stop it?? One more big shot from Rogers and the ref steps in to end the fight! Rogers can't hide his delight as he celebrates with his corner.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:44 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Sam Rogers! Sam Rogers decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
