Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Leapinon Deciferous (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Damian Maia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Leapinon Deciferous! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Damian Maia! The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Russell Pearce and Jonathan Paton.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight. Deciferous takes the fight into the clinch. Deciferous definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. The pace really dropping off here, momentarily. Deciferous lands a hook to the side of the head. Deciferous is leaning against Maia and scores with a nice uppercut to the body. Deciferous lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. Deciferous lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Maia. Nice body punch from Deciferous - that landed with a thud.
Deciferous throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges. Deciferous scores with an uppercut up the middle.
That's one minute gone in the round. Deciferous holding his opponent close, against the cage.
Deciferous lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Maia backwards. Maia letting Deciferous take a breather here. Maia wants a takedown.
Maia's coach down at Morbid Conditioning School $350 was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Maia's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Deciferous lands a nice uppercut. Deciferous works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Deciferous trying to control but Maia is working from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Maia has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Deciferous doesn't defend quickly enough and Maia has managed to lock this one up! Can Deciferous escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Maia on a fantastic submission victory.
