Alvarez drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Alvarez wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Maeda, who protects the arm well.
Alvarez taking a break here but Maeda is having none of it and regains half guard.
