Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Huseyin Laninga!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Marat Sanayev!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Trevor Gratis and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Laninga throws a push kick but Sanayev slaps the foot to one side.
Laninga misses with a body kick.
Laninga tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Sanayev counters with a shoot takedown. Laninga fights it but they end up in guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Sanayev keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Laninga's head.
Sanayev throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Sanayev with a flurry of punches that miss.
Sanayev throwing strikes from guard but Laninga blocks nicely.
Sanayev is looking to work some ground and pound but Laninga has wrist control.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Sanayev postures up in Laninga's guard and throws a big left but Laninga blocks it.

Sanayev throws a big right hand that misses.
Sanayev cracks Laninga with a solid left hand.
Sanayev should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Sanayev's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Laninga is breathing heavily.
Sanayev missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Sanayev drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Sanayev jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Sanayev has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at Werewolf's cave. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one.
Sanayev postures up in Laninga's guard and throws a big left but Laninga blocks it.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Sanayev accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Sanayev throws a big elbow that misses.
We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Sanayev has eaten all the pies!
Sanayev postures up and lands a big shot to Laninga's brow.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Sanayev in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Laninga working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Sanayev.
Sanayev is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.

Laninga looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
Sanayev drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Sanayev as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Laninga screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Sanayev! Nice submission victory there!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:30 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kneebar). Marat Sanayev!
In his post fight interview, Marat Sanayev started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
