Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Slade Wilson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Antero Rokka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rokka is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Twilight Guardians - Out of Our Hands. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
14 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Slade Wilson! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
15 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Antero Rokka! The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Lou da Vinci and Joseph Jones.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wilson tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Rokka feints and then cracks Wilson's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Wilson down. Rokka moves out of range of the leg kick from Wilson. Wilson scores with a leg kick.
Wilson plants his feet and lands a nice head kick! Wilson definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Rokka crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Wilson - the referee stops the clock and Rokka gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Wilson. Rokka manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Rokka scores with a nice body kick.
Rokka drops Wilson with a beautiful combination! Wilson stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Rokka is looking for the KO!
Wilson is rocked!
It looks like Slade Wilson has been cut. Wilson throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Oh Wilson is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Rokka on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Wilson seems to have got his legs back now. Rokka has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Rokka moves forwards but Wilson connects with a nice, crisp jab. Rokka takes a body punch but keeps moving. Rokka lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Wilson scores with a shot to the body.
Wilson cracks the inside of Rokka's front leg. Rokka has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Rokka there as he acknowledges the shot.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rokka lands with a thumping leg kick.
Wilson fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Rokka manages to avoid it. Wilson throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Wilson is looking to land body kicks. Wilson is looking to land body kicks. Wilson misses with a body punch
and Rokka counters with an outside leg kick.
Wilson gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Wilson lands a leg kick that knocks Rokka off balance momentarily. Wilson throws a low kick but Rokka avoids it. Rokka thuds a left hand into Wilson's body. Rokka sends Wilson crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Rokka is motioning to the referee to let Wilson up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet! This has been an exciting period of action! A low kick from Wilson misses and Rokka rattles Wilson with a well-timed uppercut counter. - Wilson tries to back away and recover but his hands are down low and he gets tagged again, sending him stumbling down to the canvas. Rokka dives in after him and quickly finishes the job with a trio of brutal punches, leaving Wilson stiff and motionless on the mat!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Antero Rokka! Antero Rokka is the new light heavyweight champion! Antero Rokka decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
