Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Joey Rodinerio Bravo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Clay Wilkinson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bravo kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Damian Marley - Confrontation. Wilkinson has chosen Overkill as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 20 - 13 - 1, fighting out of New York, Clay Wilkinson!
The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Anthony Taglia and Joseph Jones.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wilkinson digs a good body shot into Bravo 's ribs.

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Wilkinson slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Bravo wants to pass the guard but Wilkinson is keeping the position.

Bravo is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Wilkinson is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Wilkinson had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Bravo defends it easily.

Bravo controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

Wilkinson bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Bravo 's guard.
Wilkinson trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Bravo throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bravo has Wilkinson pulled in close to control his posture.

Wilkinson is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

Bravo looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Wilkinson trying to control the position from guard on top but Bravo is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Bravo has his foot on Wilkinson's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Wilkinson works his way back into a safe position though.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Joey Rodinerio Bravo will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!



Bravo moves into range and clinches up with Wilkinson.

Bravo gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Wilkinson is refusing to be controlled, as Bravo sits in half guard.
Wilkinson moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

Bravo tries to free his leg and advance position but Wilkinson is retaining full guard.

Wilkinson looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Bravo looking to pass the guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Bravo drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Wilkinson manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Bravo has Wilkinson in his guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Bravo looking for a guillotine here but Wilkinson defends easily.
Wilkinson must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Bravo looking for a triangle here. Wilkinson is fighting it but it looks tight! Bravo pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Wilkinson is tapping out - this one is all over!
