Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Burley Haines (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tamiwe Kamanula (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kamanula has chosen LL Cool J - Mama Said Knock You Out as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Burley Haines!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tamiwe Kamanula!
The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Jorge Garcia and Reed Andrews.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Haines looks to land a right hand but Kamanula moved out of range.
Some bone on bone action there as Kamanula checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Haines throws a big shot that misses.
Haines shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Kamanula as he jumps to the side.
Kamanula has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
Haines fails with the takedown.
Haines misses with a straight left.
Haines has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
The fighters circling - Haines throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Haines shoots for a takedown but Kamanula saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Burley Haines. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Haines pivots, looking for a leg kick but Kamanula is out of range and Haines settles back down.
Tamiwe Kamanula is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Haines swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Haines misses with a straight left.
Haines closes the distance and clinches up with Kamanula, looking for a takedown. Haines pushes Kamanula against the cage but Kamanula circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Haines misses with a body shot.
A low kick from Haines is predictable there
and Kamanula counters with a flying knee. Nice.

Haines looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Kamanula!

Kamanula is trying to get back to his feet.
Haines advances nicely into full mount.
Haines trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Kamanula tries to hold on but Haines postures up.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Kamanula tries to reverse the position but Haines maintains control.
Haines looking to control but Kamanula is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Haines throwing shots from mount but they're not landing.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Haines throws a strike there. Kamanula manages to avoid it well and slips a leg under to get to half guard.
Haines sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Kamanula defending well though.
Kamanula really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Haines. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Kamanula is trying to stand up here but Haines is controlling him well.

Nice strikes from Haines there.
Haines is looking to advance position but Kamanula won't allow it.
Haines not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Haines trying to mount his opponent but Kamanula defends it.
Kamanula avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Haines.
Kamanula keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.

Haines is trying to work for a kimura but Kamanula is defending well.
Kamanula wants to get back to full guard.
Haines wants to pass to mount but Kamanula is defending the position.
Kamanula is looking for a sweep. Haines is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Haines not landing any meaningful shots this time.

Haines is working for a submission of some sort.
Haines content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Kamanula wants to get back to his feet.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Haines seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Kamanula is not content to let Haines control the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Burley Haines dominated that round.
That's time! Back to the action!


Haines misses with a telegraphed body shot
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Haines goes for a double leg but Kamanula avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Kamanula continues to drive forward.
Kamanula landing some nice looking knees to the body.
Haines is trying to force a seperation but Kamanula has the dominant position.
Haines is trying to break the clinch but Kamanula is controlling him.
Haines wants to break free but Kamanula has control.
Kamanula prevents Haines from breaking the clinch.

Kamanula escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Kamanula slaps away a takedown attempt from Haines, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Haines, as that shot connected.
Haines throws a leg kick
and Kamanula counters with a head kick. That will keep Haines thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!

A shot to the body from Haines misses

and Kamanula counters by moving into the clinch.

Haines successfully pulls guard.

Haines working for a triangle but Kamanula defends it easily.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Kamanula would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Burley Haines overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Kamanula preventing the sweep.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Kamanula wanted to stand there but Haines had control of the position.
Haines has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Kamanula is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Haines has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Kamanula is looking to defend but Haines has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Kamanula! Haines pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Kamanula taps out and this one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:56 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Burley Haines!
In his post fight interview, Burley Haines started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
